EVERY NEW BABY COMES WITH THEIR OWN UNIQUE PERSONALITY, CHALLENGES, AND JOYS. PARENTS AS WELL DEVELOP THEIR OWN METHODS AND STYLES THAT WORK BEST FOR THEM. AS YOUR POSTPARTUM DOULA, MY JOB IS TO OFFER NON-JUDGMENTAL SUPPORT AND GUIDANCE.

How did I become a doula?

As a mother of three, two by birth and one by love, I know the importance of a strong support system. When my youngest, Emma, was born, my passion for postpartum care was reawakened. My friends and family began turning to me for guidance in many different aspects of newborn life; from breastfeeding to baby-wearing, soothing a fussy baby to how to take care of mom. It was then that I realized my passion and knowledge in these areas shined through to everyone I came in contact with. My dream is to work towards enhancing the postpartum period for each new mother.

Courtney with Seaside Doula helped me and my wife through so much during and after the pregnancy. She was very helpful when it came to breastfeeding, soothing and caring for our baby. There were times, even late at night, that we weren’t sure that what we were experiencing was normal. The first person we would call is Seaside Doula. She made us feel more assured that we were doing okay, even if it felt like we weren’t. I am so happy we can count on her to help us out with our first baby girl.
